How to Take the Perfect Pet Photo
Last updated: June 2026
A great photo makes all the difference. Here are a few simple tips to help you choose a photo that will turn into a product you'll love.
Your pet's face is sharp and in focus. Every detail shows clearly.
A blurry photo results in a blurry print. If it's not sharp on screen, it won't be sharp on the product.
Natural light or a well-lit room. Colors look true and details are visible.
Dark photos lose detail and make the final product look muddy or dull.
A clean background lets the pet shape stand out. A transparent PNG is ideal.
A busy background can interfere with the cutout process and add unwanted elements to the shape.
One pet per product works best. The face should be clearly visible and centered.
Multiple pets make each face too small. For group photos, consider ordering one product per pet.
Tips for Each Product
Pet Pillow
A front-facing photo with ears visible works best. Very thin ears or tails may appear slightly softer in the finished pillow.
Pet Blanket
Any clear photo works. The full body shape is printed, so a side profile or sitting pose can look great.
Pet Canvas
Higher resolution photos produce sharper canvas prints. We recommend at least 1000x1000 pixels.
